Slik leser du akkordformler

En akkordformel beskriver hvilke intervaller en akkord stabler på grunntonen. En durtreklang er 0–4–7 halvtoner (grunntone, stor ters, ren kvint); en molltreklang senker tersen: 0–3–7. Septimakkorder legger en ters på toppen: Cmaj7 er 0–4–7–11, C7 er 0–4–7–10.

Den samme formelen fungerer fra enhver grunntone: transponer halvtoneavstandene til en annen grunntone, og du får den samme akkordtypen i en annen toneart. Bruk denne tabellen sammen med skalasidene for å finne hvilke akkorder som passer i en toneart.

Hva er en akkordformel?

En akkordformel er settet av intervaller, vanligvis skrevet i halvtoner eller skalatrinn, som definerer en akkordtype uavhengig av grunntonen – for eksempel dur = 0–4–7 halvtoner (1–3–5).

Hva er forskjellen på C7 og Cmaj7?

C7 (dominantseptim) bruker en liten septim: C–E–G–B♭ (0–4–7–10). Cmaj7 bruker en stor septim: C–E–G–B (0–4–7–11). Forskjellen på én halvtone endrer akkordens funksjon fullstendig.

Hvordan bruker jeg akkordformler på andre grunntoner?

Legg de samme halvtoneavstandene til enhver grunntone. En molltreklang (0–3–7) fra A gir A–C–E; fra F♯ gir den F♯–A–C♯. Akkordtypen forblir den samme, bare tonehøyden endres.
